My husband tends to have a lot of issues with his ankles so I researched the best hightop for ankle support and found these sneakers. Problem is he has an extremely high instep and always needs a wide shoe. The extra wide option worked for him.I finally found a good fitting shoe with a little ankle support ?For the price, I can't complain too much. If there was a cheaper wide basketball shoe out there, I'd be concerned with the quality. Finally, I've found a shoe that fits me well and makes me feel comfortable playing basketball again. I was getting sick of squeezing my foot in all the other brand name shoes.If you have trouble with wide feet like myself, I highly reccomend these shoesAS SOON AS I PUT THESE ON, MY HEEL PAIN WAS SO DIMINISHED I COULD WALK WITOUT HOPPLING.SIMPLY THE BEST YOU CAN BUYPleased with the fit and comfortEverything is okay but too wide.If you have mortons neuroma, bingo.These shoes are great if you have wide feet. They will fit. The problems come after that and they are numerous.I bought size nines UK. I was initially impressed: they have a huge 'Toe Box'.Great for me with my old man issues; a pronounced bunion on my left foot.So width is super.Two main issues for shoes at this price:They have a very cushioning heel. In fact it is too cushioning. The walking experience on your heels is almost like sinking into a super soft mattress. It just sinks away. As soon as your heels hit the ground and you think 'thats it' they keep sinking. So soft and so cushioning that your leg is slightly over extended.Its almost like you have to develop a new style of walking.In my experience you need heel cushioning that balances comfort with resistance. So your heel hits the ground, and the energy of that has to be met with some softness, but also firmness that dissipates the energy of the impact.The best examples of achieving this balance I have found to be are Fit Flops 'Micro wobble sole' sandals/shoes/boots. These, potentially, are the best shoes ever.A close second (just in my experience and God Knows I am not comfortable with saying this) are Nike AF1's. The latter are quite wide fitting too. The downside issue with these products are they do not offer the upper foot space (toe box) that I and many others need.So, getting back to 'FitVille Extra Wide Fit Trainers'...These shoes are shipped in from China. They do a good job at promoting this product.The reality is that if I paid half the price for this product in a cheap high street shoe shop I would feel cheated..The undersole rubber is too soft, they have used very cheap materials. DO NOT BUY!I am rewritten my review as this company's customer service is remarkable. I do most of my purchases online . And I can honestly say I've never come across a company more willing to help than fittville . I'm not sure off the background of this company or its origin. But trust me when I say this they will go far and beyond for there customers satisfaction. My only regret is the way I dealt with my original review. As I'm not a person who likes to return items especially foot wear . But I really wished I contacted fittville before writing my previous review. And I can only apologise for my hastily review. I can also add to this my first review was not about quality of their products as the trainer's I purchased are of good quality. Sorry fittville . And I will hopefully be buying your brand again in near future.These high top trainers have been fantastic for me. I have had an ankle operation and have arthritis in my big toe so the extra width really does give me the room needed to protect my foot and support the ankle while other footwear squashes the toe joint causing me pain when I walk. I will order some of the lower ones in the same make in the future. I have used suede protection on them because they are a very light grey and they have stayed as good as new. Had them for a few months now and I don’t wear anything elseVery comfortable and lightweight, the only problem is that they are not waterproof so their use for hiking is limited!Fantastic, can’t get me out of them. Super interior support, makes them extremely comfortable. Great cushioning across the heel and central foot areas. Super ankle support. Look and feel great, are very good quality (though the faux suede has worn quickly). Very sturdy and hardy, walk miles in them regularly, highly recommended and will definitely buy again.
